On this page I am trying to sort out and identify the various branches of the Hoodless name bearers from their earliest documented ancestor.

Branch A: Wrawby, Lincolnshire

Edward Hoodless married Gram Cowperd 25 May 1589 in Wrawby, Lincolnshire, England.

They had at least one son – John born 1601

Branch B: Weatheral, Cumbria

Stephen Hudlas, father of James who was baptised 20 August 1645, Brampton, Cumberland, England.

Branch C: Parkhead, Cumbria

William Hoodless baptised circa 1679 buried at Caldbeck, Cumberland 29 Sep 1759.

His 7 children all baptised at either Parkhead or Caldbeck.

Branch D: Wiltshire

Sir Thomas Hoodless was paid a stipend in 1575 by the Church and was based at Durrington, Wiltshire, England

Branch E: Darlington, Durham

Richard Hoodelesse leaves a detailed will upon his death in 1606
